The Importance of Reminding the Reader of His Emotional Journey

Paint a character with only one in one emotional state is going to make us dislike the character. They're going to become propped to us rather than a person. If we had been able to watch him the entire time, he would have had in through moments of depression or insecurity. And so they only showed us in those extreme emotions. So when you're saying the motion wasn't authentic, it was overblown and overdone and it wasn't how a person really reacts... Well, that I haven't seen lost.
