The Importance of One One Health in the Age of Epidemics

The frequency of unexpected sparks lighting explosive epidemics and pandemics has greatly accelerated mirroring the spread. In the past two decades humanity witnessed such sparks and their global consequences every four to six years SARS in 2003, flu pandemic in 2009 and COVID-19 pandemic at end of 2019. The monkeypox epidemic that emerged in spring 2022 is the latest one unraveling Humanity experienced some of the largest epidemics of Ebola in 2013 to 2016 and 2018 to 2020.
