What Kind of Assets Can We Own Straightaway?

The law looks for distinctiveness to be able to own something, it's got to be distinctive. As long as it's not generic, a sort of a triangle or a circle or something, then you would build to own it straightway. I'm wondering, like you've had a lot of conversations now with branning people, and strategy people. Why are we so hesitant? Or maybe even in to ignore this this ole legal dimension in strategy and in execution? I think it's just not knowing about it. And i think it's because brand protection needs to be part of brand creation.
