A Cosmic Gravitational Background?

We think there's definitely a cosmic gravitational background from just because we know there's things happening int universat are making them. So it makes sense that we would be sort of inundated with faint ripples from all these events, even things other than black hole mergers. Ightbu might be so faint that we can't see them or hear them, they are definitely too faint for us to see them now. But you know, with future observatories and improvements and our technology, we should, in principle, be able to see it if it's there.
