The Internet Is a Mirror on Society, or Is It?
The inner net is producing things, or whether it's a mirror on society. People sort of pop up on twitter, largely anti trump, and position themselves as what they often call citizen journalists. I think that sometimes that work is useful, sometimes it overshoots. But i would love to see a cooler headed discussion about the benefits and harms of that kind of death of gatekeepersin question. Yehudi Mencken: Is there such a thing as 'citizen journalist' in this day and age? John Sutter: Are we more concerned with who gets to create the public image of america than how people get their news?
