The Nauvoo Expositor

The Expositor was envisioned as a newspaper that would be something, I mean, it's in the name. It would be an exposé that they would use the paper to put in written form all of their grievances against Joseph Smith. Most of the articles weren't making things up whole cloth. They were piecing together information that they had gathered. A lot of it garbled, but it was rooted in kernels of truth and they were presenting it in the most negative light possible.
