The Numbers Tell
Chad Abumrod and Robert Quillich are back to talk about numbers. In 1938, a physicist noticed that the first few pages of his logarithmic book were more worn than the last few pages. He thought maybe in this world, there are more numbers with low-furs digits than with high-fur digits. And it's true size of rivers, earthquakes and things like that. What if you were to say all the people in New York together look at their bank accounts? You'll find they begin with one more often than they do two.
