Start living and working as if you were a public company. Don't have goals that you can isocate or restate the numbers. Really try to get into that discipline of making sure that what you say you're going to do, you do. Walk away from deals if it doesn't fit your goals for your organization. In those earliest days at cupa, we walked away from plenty of deals where there just was not an alignement with our goal. It's very hard to pivot. Sure, throw a lot of money at you but ultimately you are in it for the long term. So i would really counsel everyone, as soon as possible, just act as if youwere a public
