University of Leicester and University of Leeds Refugee Program
The University of Leicester and the University of Leeds have a Refugee Program. The idea is to give refugee background students a taster of what it would be like to attend an EAP course. Frances Acton, who teaches on the programme says they are trying to mitigate the effects of trauma in the classroom. Deirdre McKenna, one of the two program directors said she has been able to help students become more involved in decision making.
