What Is a Halo?

A halo can occur any time the sun or the moon shines through thin clouds posed of ice crystals. The 22 degree halo is the most common form of this, consisting of either a series of colored arcs, or even complete cles of 22 degree angular radiuses around the sun ormoon. These are sometimes called lunar halos or winter halos. And i was lucky enough to see one of these the last time i was at the beach.
