In 1986 or 1980s, the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program was formed in America. That made it so that normal citizens could not sue vaccine manufacturers for what they may perceive to be vaccine injuries. The government had to step in and say we actually need these vaccines because we want our kids to not have vaccine-preventable diseases like tetanus, diphtheria, oleo, measles.
