The Four Place Sound

How did the Modern Jazz Quartet get formed? When did they decide put a name on it and be a group rather than an individual? Yeah. I had an, an art job at Warner Brothers Records and I was able to go to a meeting there and say, will you give us a budget to experiment and do a project? Never thinking about it becoming a full time, long thing. But the first song of restoration, my composition on my album was what we remember as being kind of like the first idea of a four place sound. Okay. The combination of our backgrounds, our things that we had worked on, different projects, whatever, it just felt really special.
