Is There a Dish on Both Sides of the Road?

Reformed Christians often fall into an ascetical ditch or it's a ditch where you don't properly take into account your creatureliness, your dependence and your need for certain conditions in order to flourish that God has actually intended. We are creatures and that is a good thing. And I think we can deny that and make people in the robots and automatons. Or on the other hand, this sort of self-indulgent that you're going to find your greatest joy not in fulfilling your God given duties, but in just making sure that you get yours caring for yourself.
