In American culture, it kind of means let's go out for lunch. In Spanish, I think, invite means I'm going to pay for you. So that's something to watch out for. Like, would you talk about the bill before you start eating? And would you say, do you want to split it? Or when you're at work, wanting to invite someone to lunch.
