Sally Kohn: You've been concerned for quite a number of years about the increasing rise of childhood and adolescent depression, anxiety and suicide rates. She argues that this erosion of free play by children is not without consequences. Kohn: Over time, over decades, there has been this continuous decline in children's freedom to play. This does not seem to be linked to events in the world that tend to make adults anxious or depressed," she says.
