Fear is a motivator that sadly leans toward the cruel and conspiratorial. Dr. William O'Gorman was a well-respected New Jersey physician who had a problem on his hands. The boys were treated by Louis Pasteur himself and returned home a month later with a clean bill of health. Fear might still have been their motivation, but they used it to change the world for the better.
