In selected patients it doesn't seem to matter if we choose staples or glue. Despite that uncertainty personally I feel very comfortable using absorbable sutures mostly all the time. And despite having very broad inclusion criteria they only found 7 RCTs and these RCTs are tiny from 44 to 166 patients and none of them were fully blinded.
