The song is associated with the glories of space travel, and maybe even a death in space. Taken as a whole, it's a more experimental and strange song than i gave it credit for before i learned it. But particulars are actually more unusual than your average rock and roll song. It kind of has a script with different characters. The bandjust deteriorates, conjuring tom free from his capsule, drifting off across the horizon and out of sight,. chilling down or ending.
