The Reincarnation of the Orient
In many primitive societies there is the notion that if a woman walks past a certain stone or a tree, she will become pregnant. There is also the idea that there are animal species that are simply recurrences of certain animal souls and one sees dogs or dogs everywhere. Then there is another idea that occurs in beholding the world of vegetation, how out of rot, out of death, life comes. So we have this world of sacrifice, human and animal sacrifice where the more death there is, the more likely there will be life. The individual counts for nothing, no more than a fallen leaf he will rot and life will be back.
