Carbon Credits Are Not the Most Efficient Way to Get to Net Zero
Universities are relying heavily on carbon credits to achieve their climate goals. By far, the largest share of omissions reductions came from offsets. If we wanted every single person, company or organization to get to net zero purely by paying someone else to offset their missions, we'd need a whole other planet. So reducing our own omissions is critical. We don't have another planet, at least not yet.
