Ange: I love so many different things that in some ways seem totally contradictory to each other, or even antagonistic. And i'm deeply interested in all these sort of weird, different ideas that don't maybe make sense to the outside fewer, but in my brain, are somehow connected. So that botte common theme of what my books are is trying to get to what's real for women and me, to the places that we're very vulnerable and need to be really candid. She says she has a theory about why women, in particular, especially women who are spiritual, would find true crime so resonant - "they want to mind read men"
