The Problem With Trust in Authorities and Institutions

Sally Kohn: I just want to head off a conspiracy theory of our own here for listeners who aren't familiar with D-men students. The flip side of the conspiracy theory problem is that there are a lot of authorities and institutions who have given us a lot of reasons not to trust them, right? That's right. So it's this double-edged sword, like, how do we call for accountability when authorities give us reason for a lack of trust or tell us some things that aren't true? And at the same time, fight to be sort of discerning and wise about misinformation and conspiracy theories - which are both happening at thesame time.
