How Do Boys Respond to School Shootings?

I understand that the excessive exposure to the toxicity, the swamp of social media is very damaging to people. But I don't even buy that it's more affecting on girls than say boys. Girls more than boys are socialized to internalize distress and tend to collapse in on themselves by becoming depressed or anxious. And the overall thing, this hopelessness that we can take them at face value. It's that there is no fundamental, there's no greater thing to be striving for.
