Using a Multiplexe, You Can Select Which of the Active and Gates Is Active
A multiplector is a one to one relationship between your inputs and your and gates. The active and gate will always mirror what the what its corresponding import gate is. All these and gates, or four of them in this case, are then just fed into an orgate. A dcoda is the next device that well look at. And it's the exact opposite of a multiplexe. Instead of selecting one input from many, it turns a small number of input bits into a large number of output bits.
