Is There Anything a State Can Do to Fight Inflation?

I was recently a driving some place with with the fair jesica, my lovely bride, and somebody said something weird about inflation stuff. And i started a conversation between the two of us about whether or not there is anything a us. State could do to fight inflation in its state.
