The success of Tesla made everybody be like, oh, we have to start making electric cars. But it was also helped with enormous government subsidies too. The automotive industry has always benefited from a lot of lobbying and this is no different. And then all going all electric everybody in all the time. Yeah. It was largely just them reading the writing on the wall.
