Is There Any Chance of a Federal Election Reform?
Congress has authority to tell the states how to conduct them. There are federal legal provisions that would, for example, require that everyone who has a driver's license be automatically registered to vote. Whether the federal law can reach into some of the legal tricks that are being employed now to infiltrate state election administration authorities, i'm not sure. Is there any chance whatsoever of federal election reform to do with state electors in presidential elections and move toward a direct nation li popular vote election? I won't claim to be expert in this, but my answer would be, no, there is no chance of that because it would require a constitutional amendment.
