The book of Esther opens with the sick party that is off the chain. This is meant to read as as being as opulent a party as anybody could possibly ever imagine. The story goes like this: Xerxes who ruled over 127 provinces stretching from India to Kush, reigned from his royal throne in the Citadel of Sousa.
