Oxide has been on ZFS for 20 years. It's more software than hardware, which is a big counterintuitive because we've got a big hardware rack on the website. The product that we're making is one that we are constantly updating and running on ourselves. And this is always essential. You know, when you buy a product from someone and it feels like, are these guys using their own product? Because it'd be a lot better.
Adam was out when Bryan made his podcast debut here on The Changelog, so we had to get him back on the show along with his co-founder and CEO Steve Tuck to discuss Silicon Valley (the TV show), all things Oxide, homelab possibilities, bringing the power of the cloud on prem, and more.
