How did you not think this was going to escalate in any way? It's just, I mean, look, we can't joke about it. He claimed today that he never saw the cake. The cake was in a box and two of his staff later found it and ate it. And yet, his staff leaked the story to the Times, which apparently exonerates him because the fact that they leaked it to the Times showed that it was okay. This is such a measure of the leader that he is, throwing people left, right and center under the bus here.
