The Importance of Trophies
In the 1950s, there was a probably incredibly unethical study which was done where they took all of these fifth grade boys and they brought them to a camp for I think three weeks. They divided them into two groups, which called themselves the Eagles and the Rattlers. The question is, do we come out of the womb tribal? And then they bring them all together and immediately they start demanding competition because they want a trophy.
