Fedora 39: A New System for Automatic Firmware Updates
Firmware update refresh is a system D service. It would not install anything automatically you would still have the choice whether to install it or not. Currently Fedora uses dnf4 and the new version of dnf which is supposed to bring better performance when you're installing packages. The proposed telemetry that they wanted to include inFedora 39 has been rejected.
