I always start things with the vision and then the problem is we're getting views in previous iterations that are not quite right. This was so much of a departure away from what I envisioned the song being. We had to introduce how much repetition there was going to go on because repetitions, it's like the album's built on constant repetitive phrases,. Things going in and out of time, phasing and rejoining. It's a record that's supposed to feel like some automated computers got together and fell in love with the Pacific Islands and soppy lyrics. He says Steve Rach and he's my dad so I listen to what he says.
