Dollar cost averaging is a more aggressive investment allocation approach. The book's intro chapter kind of came from a blog post i wrote five years to the day before the book came out. Buying as soon as you have the money, even in small increments, is very different than taking a large amount of money and slowly averaging it. And that second strategy is sub par across the board,.
