Rotted wood wasn't the typical dino diet of either meat or plants. The animals in insects that live in rottingwood is exactly what the dinosaurs were after. Karen suspected that these copper lights were made by duck billed dinosaurs, who were thought to be herbivors. But we figure that these guys were maybe at least two inches in length. If you're a dinosaur and you happen to get one in your mouth and it's wriggling around, if you don't want to swallow it, you don't have to swallow it. You can't always spit something out. Excuse me, waiter, thi seems to be alive.
