How to Process Radioactive Waste
Uranus-235 is the most common type of uranium found on Earth and in our solar system. It has a half life of nearly a billion years so there's less of a round than uranium-238, which has a half-life of several billion years. We use that process to set off fusion in a hydrogen bomb too. And you can power devices by explosions, even fusion bombs, using very very large reactors or use them to push ships like with the Orion Drive. There are some rare isotopes that, if we had a big supply of them, might allow us to do very small explosions,. those that would fit into something more like a very large piston engine.
