I think it's what contributes to the burn out. If i just go from task to task to task without really seeing the through line, then i almost feel like i'm just a cog and some one else could do my work. It is so easy and natural to assume that burnout is the result of too much work. But everything i see in my research, whether it's from the leaders perspective, the contributors perspective, is that we burn out not because we're doing too much work, but because we're having too little impact. That, you know, ing people.
