The Importance of Understanding God
Athanasus says God is not first and foremost creator or ruler, but Father. Athanasius: If you have an eternal Son, it means God is eternally a Father, eternally fatherly. But he just goes all the way down through his gospel, which means reading Athanasius is always so refreshing. He's seeing God is a Father first and foremost.
