Is There a Private Sector Intelligence?
In the private sector, there's every bit as much of a need for intelligence. Not that many years back, that capability would have been among the most expensive and most classified in US government. Now everybody who's got an iPhone has even more powerful capability to pull up Google Earth or whatever other platform you might use. And companies are using that kind of capability in thousands of different ways. So social media is essentially open source signals intelligence that can be used to make better decisions.
