Book is about how citizens make political expressions. Originally this research began with looking at the seven before t-shirts, slogan t-shirts are wearing this kind of image or symbol to promote your cause or group candidate. So immediately I started seeing those connections and really understanding social media as a platform that people used to do with things like bumper stickers or buttons or t-shirts. It's an avenue that anybody can take with pretty low barriers to entry is easily accessed so that even if you don't have a printing press or a TV station, you can participate in the circulation of political messages.
