Around ten thousand years ago, a group of foragers came to a tall wall of rock in the acaucas mountains of what is now the central sahara of libya. The increasingly green sahara people kept coming to taker quarry for thousands of years, hunting and fishing until finally it grew too dry and desolate to support their lives. To day, massive dunes are visible from the opening of the rock shelter,. It's hard to imagine the aquatic riches and plant life that made the acacas mountains such an inviting place for foragers to live.
