The US Wins the Debate to Create Bretton Woods Institutions
Keynes's vision for creating international financial institutions was quite different from the US proposals proposed by Harry Dexter White. In his era, he was absolutely not a radical. He was really a centrist among different economists. What actually happened instead of that is the US won the debate to create these Bretton Woods institutions. And essentially, they became instruments of US geopolitical and economic control.
