The Negative Effects of Bike Lanes on the Budget
"It's such an absurd take to be on it. Sometimes I see a bike lane and I just cry, you know, but Mark's got my back," he says of the new police chief. "They're effectively a rounding error in the overall budget," writes Toronto-based writer John Sutter. The city has spent over $75 million on bike lanes from 2019 to 2021; Tory is OK with them because they don't affect his budget that much,. He plans to make a video about cities moving to 30 kilometer per hour citywide settlement.
