Bitcoin Is a System Built on Rules Instead of Rulers

Josh: Bitcoin is a monetary ledger with very clear, predictable, transparent, censorship resistant, immutable rules without any rulers. We have a system that incentivizes short-termism, where basically we're just trying to alleviate short-term pain. If we can remove that, all of a sudden we start to have to act in the best interest of the pot and government has to act for long term benefit. Josh: Peter Zeehan says this could never function as a monetary asset because you need monetary expansion to stimulate trade. But I would argue that increasing purchasing power means we're going to be more thoughtful when our spending.
