Introduction

Marina Abramovich performs her first solo performance at a contemporary art festival in Edinberg Scotland during the summer of 1973. After 20 minutes Marina has worked through all ten knives again and relived her past mistakes she listens to the recording of herself re-performing the knife virtual while the original recording also plays in the background. The audience erupts in wild applause later Marina writes this about the performance: "The white paper was stained very impressively with my blood"
