What Is the Contribution of the Travellers to the Country?
In 19 98, a group of gipsy travellers purchased an old scrap yard off of the main road near avill age in essex, northeast of london. And beginning in two thousand there was a large influx of travellers into this site, mainly irish travellers. The local council condemned the settlement at dale farm as violating planning codes. Also, there were accusations about smuggling, legal smuggling, of cigarettes going through the sigt and all this was used as fodder to bolster the idea that these travellers should simply be evicted.
