The Third Wave of Generative Art

Generative art has existed since the 1960s and it was pretty rudimentary back then but basically since then it's been panned by critics and mostly ignored by collectors. NFTs have essentially made collecting digital work palatable like you would charge your credit card and they would email you a JPEG right? So I think people feel empowered to collect NFTs because we have built a social consensus that owning an NFT means something when that social consensus exists almost nothing else matters.
