The Importance of Cultural Engagement in the Church
I would tend to think we must be doing something incorrectly because if the world, according to its own perception, its own worldview, believes that the church is succeeding, then I would be suspicious of that thinking. My take on this, in general, working things out in specifics is complicated and I'm all for long conversations about this. But my general take is if the world looks upon the church and if the world says, you know what, the church has really got something going. They're amazing. They're winning these wars, these culture wars. It doesn't make sense to the world.
