Is There a Difference Between a Split Brain and a Single Brain?
There's this notion that yif you split the two brain hemispheres then you get to parallel consciousness, consciousnesss and you no longer have a unified field of awareness. I don't think that holds up. If you talk to patients after surgery, they will report to you that they feel exactly the same like felt before. So you have this amazing e cognitive dissonenceis happening. It reminds me of the famous cases of the so called split brain patients that that are defined in literature a going back several decades. There is some latent new results that seem to bring, to bring dout to the earlier conclusions.
