The Churchyard in London in the Middle Ages

The cathedral in the middle ages was absolutely huge. The area around the houses really formed a sort of an oval round it. Behind it were these much smaller streets, some of which you can still see. You go through the churchyard from cheapside and then down ludgate hill to fleet street and westminster beyond there. And then london right through, packed with buildings.
